Nano-SIS at the Intersolar 2012

The Nano-SIS team presents his latest research results at the Intersolar 2012. Fields of application and innovations in the sector of nanostructured "Black Silicon"are received with considerable interest by the trade-fair visitors. Due to the enormous potential to increase solar cells' efficiency and because of the wide range of applications, industrial manufacturers are closely following the developments at the Institute of Applied Physics, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, in cooperation with the Fraunhofer IOF.

Furthermore, the presentation of Nano-SIS at the Innovation Exchange is a great success. Project manager Kevin Füchsel impressively demonstrates how economies of scale can be implemented by the application of thin film technologies on wafer-based solar cells. The SIS layer structure allows to produce cost-efficient solar cells at low process temperatures using sputtering procedures.
